Crafting4Good CIC is part of a growing Positive Mental Health Network which brings together organisations from Wakefield and surrounding areas to help promote our varied services to those who need them.

The Postcards from Wakefield project shared positive messages about mental health and wellbeing on specially designed postcards which were completed by groups and members of the public to help spread positive stories and messages of mental wellness and ways of getting through when times are hard, and especially that there are many people and organisations out there willing to help.

Crafting4Good Wakefield Mental Health Postcard Project

Postcards were put on display in various locations including a week long event at Trinity Walk for Mental Health Week 2019 - the project made use of the giant digital displays there, did some inspirational pebble painting, had lots of public engagement with people filling in their own postcards and even a flashmob singing 'Lean On Me' at Lush!  Plus there'll be a grand finale of all postcards and a 'Book in 8 Minutes' on display at Wakefield's Art Walk on 29th May.

A mental health Directory was also published with details of local services and groups to get involved with if people are needing help - you can view the digital Mental Health Directory online or download it below to keep or share to those who might find it useful (please note, we're now open Tuesdays & Wednesdays 10-4, not just 'by appointment only' as the online version states)
