What We Do - Printables with a Purpose
Why do we say we're a Non-Profit when we sell stuff?
We sell stuff, to fund community stuff
Any surplus must be reinvested
This kind of company is called a Community Interest Company, a kind of Social Enterprise. Charities are also types of Social Enterprises - we are NOT a charity but we have a charitable social mission, which we have to fund through trading with our craft downloads.
We trade as The Printable Craft Shop, and our registered company is called Crafting4Good CIC (aka Community Interest Company) - the store was in business for many years before we made the decision to officially become a Social Enterprise, and then a registered (and regulated) CIC.
As well as selling affordable, re-usable craft activities to Crafters and Groups for our own fundraising, so we can help community organisations, we also encourage people to 'sell what you make' to raise money for their own good causes. So everyone wins and gets to feel good in lots of ways!
Early days, but this is why we say Your Orders Do Good!
